It's been a while since I posted. Haven't had a lot of time to paint lately, much to my frustration. I thought I would try another abstract landscape with tangled branches and abstract plants. It helps me to loosen up. Not sure about this one, but I do like some of the colors. Maybe not enough plant life.
Jean, don't be uncertain...this is just so full of emotion, muted color and works great in a minimal abstract kind of way. Just love it.

DeleteI like how you combined the fresh smooth wash with these lovely textures, which created very nice contrast. The harmonious palette keeps it together beautifully

ReplyDeleteWhen I took art classes we were always told "don't sign your work until you are sure it is finished." I signed this piece already and feel I should let things stay as is. But I am tempted to fiddle with it.

ReplyDeleteThanks Vandy. I did an underpainting with this piece and let it dry and then painted the plant matter. It did add a bit of depth.
